Danny "Coach Scrap" is a father of three and the Founder of the Southern Maryland Divas — an organization built from a shared vision between him and his daughter to create opportunities, structure, and high-level development for young athletes in their community. Football has been part of his life since childhood. He grew up playing pound ball, competed in semi-pro football, and still laces up for adult flag football today. That lifelong connection to the game fuels everything he brings to coaching. His coaching journey started seven years ago when his son stepped onto the field at just three years old for flag football. Two years ago, his daughter joined, and what began as coaching his own kids evolved into a mission — building confident, disciplined, competitive athletes across the 14U and High School divisions. His philosophy is straightforward: fundamentals first, accountability always, effort over everything. Coach Scrap emphasizes physical and mental toughness, strong fundamentals, and playing with discipline, pride, and heart — preparing his athletes for success both on and off the field.
Coach Corey
Assistant Head Coach

Corey is an IT professional, father of three (two sons and a daughter), and a football coach with over 15 years of experience — 11 of those at the high school level. He's served as coordinator on both offense and defense, giving him a well-rounded understanding of the game from every angle. His blend of technical problem-solving from IT and real-world coaching experience makes him a sharp, adaptable leader on the field. Coach Corey brings structure, game knowledge, and a steady presence that helps develop players at every level.

Coach Ivan brings passion and dedication to the SOMD Divas program. Known for his hands-on coaching style, he connects with players on a personal level and helps them develop both on and off the field.
